Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage, sometimes called simply “relaxation massage,”uses firm but gentle pressure, aided by oil to reduce friction, to compress and relax muscles.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two, much like after a strenuous workout.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness, by stretching the 'fascia', or connective tissue that surrounds and binds all muscle and ligament tissue.
Reflexology
Reflexologyis applying pressure to the feet, hands, or ears to stimulate nerve reflexes that relate to every area of the body.
Prenatal Massage
Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and swelling. Gentle pressure only is used, since a woman's blood flow is significantly increased during pregnancy. Massage can be enjoyed at any stage of pregnancy.
Hot Stone Massage
Heated smooth, flat stones are incorporated with manual strokes to apply warmth to muscles and facilitate the relaxation process. Recommended for acheiving the effects of deep tissue massage with less pressure.
